Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon's fall sale for Prime members, and in recent years it has run over two days in October. It is a useful moment to pick up scale modeling gear, but only if the product is one you would buy at full price anyway.

How to spot a real deal
- Decide what you need before the sale starts, so a countdown timer does not decide for you.
- Compare the sale price with the price over the previous weeks, not with the list price shown next to it.
- Check that the listing is the exact model, size and pack count you researched, since sale pages often mix variants.
- Read the return window. Holiday-season return extensions do not always apply to October orders.
- Most sale deals need a Prime membership, so factor that in if you are not already a member.
