What we liked
- + Reversible green and black surfaces, both gridded, in a 3 mm thick composite vinyl build
- + 0.5 inch grid with 45 and 60 degree guides and edges graduated in 0.125 inch marks
- + Non-glare surface, and ALVIN has made drafting tools since 1950 according to the listing
Trade-offs
- - Costs more than the budget 12 x 18 inch mats, so part of the price is the established brand
- - Grid markings are in inches only as described, with no metric scale mentioned
