What we liked
- + Snap assembly with no glue or paint needed, rated Skill Level 2 for ages 10 and up
- + 99 parts include a detailed engine, opening hood and trunk, ragtop and spare tire, generous for a snap kit
- + Ships with both water-slide decals and stickers, so a beginner can pick the easier option for the markings
Trade-offs
- - At 99 parts it is a longer build than the simplest snap kits and may be too much for younger children
- - Builds only the movie Herbie version of the Beetle, and it is not the cheapest snap kit you can buy
